In a heritage precinct in a Northern suburb of Sydney, this dilapidated cottage required the shared passion for design of an architect and its artisan owner. The brief required a modern approach to family living, packed with character and elegance.
As a focal point to the house, the opulent lap pool linked old to new with a fully glazed steamed bathroom. Due to the heritage covenants, the front façade need to retain its historic significance, whilst the addition embodied the ideal modern Australian alfresco lifestyle.
